This paper sketches a biblical-theological framework for the LWF Task Force on Poverty and the Mission of the Church in Africa to establish a position to act against all forms of poverty in Africa.

It outlines four main areas based on theological and confessional pillars of the church and gives legitimacy to the task force to actively participate in improving social and sustainable livelihoods in Africa.
