The LWF in 2019

For a just, peaceful and reconciled world

Present as a global communion in 99 countries, The Lutheran World Federation worked in 2019 to further its two priorities of supporting the vibrant witness of churches worldwide and promoting human dignity, justice and peace.

Highlights included regional gatherings of church leaders, women theologians and young Reformers, an ecumenical celebration, local and global human rights advocacy, and humanitarian work to support some 2.25 million of the world's most vulnerable people.
