Topic: Visions and Values of Church Leadership

"Lutheran Views on Leadership in the Church in a Systematic Perspective": The learning resource was developed for LWF International Lay Leaders Seminar in 2022 by Rev. Dr. Theodor Dieter in conjunction with LWF’s Department for Theology, Mission and Justice and LWF Center Wittenberg. The learning resource includes three video lectures, guided reading including questions for discussion and reflections. The learning materials introduce Lutheran perspectives regarding leadership in the church. Participants under this theme are invited to explore leadership and church identity and to deliberate on the meaning of being leaders in the Lutheran communion.

The learning module introduces basic Biblical principles, key values and Lutheran perspectives regarding leadership in the church. The materials provided challenge to critically reflect how leadership as service and commitment to uphold unity are lived out in the communion and how our shared values are applied in church leadership.
