Our Council meets once a year to govern the LWF between Assemblies. Its responsibilities include the budget and management of LWF's assets, the approval of audited annual financial statements, the definition of LWF's strategy and the election of the General Secretary.

Council members are elected by the Assembly to represent the regions and constituencies that make up the global communion of churches.
