In this book, Lutheran scholars share insights into how faith in the one holy, Catholic, and Apostolic church not only provides theolgical commonality among Lutherans, but also helps realize the social aspect of the Christian faith.

This compilation of essays reflects on the theological meaning of the church. The authors affirm the common spiritual foundation of the Lutheran church as well as its rich manifestation in life. The articles encourage continued reflection on how Lutheran churches throughout the world understand themselves and live out what they profess, namely, being the one holy, catholic, and apostolic church.
