Lutheran World Federation produces new study document
Through its member churches, programs and projects, the Lutheran World Federation has been heavily involved in community-based action for peace and justice and human rights advocacy.
At the same time, the LWF has engaged in theological reflection that deepens the understanding of being church in the public space today.
This study document, prepared by an international group of Lutheran theologians and received by the LWF Council in 2016, invites the Lutheran communion, theological seminaries, ecumenical and interfaith partners meaningfully to engage in and contribute to the strengthening of the public space—locally and globally—so that it becomes a just place for all.
It is an important reference document for the Reformation anniversary activities and beyond.
