LWF’s actions to curb the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic

During the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the LWF makes information and resources available and encourages member churches to reduce the impact of the pandemic.

The pandemic is a time to show solidarity, practice love and self-discipline, and hold back from unnecessary physical contact yet remain connected in different ways. Through that, we can express our love and concern for those who are most vulnerable.

We advise you to follow instructions from your countries’ public health structures and the World Health Organization (WHO) that coordinates the global response to the outbreak. Follow its website for detailed information and advice. You can also help by sharing reliable information online to halt the spread of misinformation.

  • Follow the advice of local and global health authorities.
  • Pray for each other, particularly for the countries and churches currently hardest hit by the spread of the virus.
  • If you can, consider donating to support the work of LWF World Service and the LWF member churches. They work to halt the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and reduce its impact on those most vulnerable.
