The following eligibility criteria apply to LWF mall-scale climate justice projects led by youth:
- Eligibility of project holder:
- Any LWF member church is eligible to apply.
- Priority will be given to projects led by young people (30 years old or younger) from LWF member churches.
- The initiative should be locally designed and implemented, ensuring it responds to the specific needs and context of the community.
- A letter of endorsement from the leadership of the respective LWF member church is required.
- Each member church may submit only one application.
- Eligibility of project concept:

- Projects must be realistic in scope and have clearly defined goals, activities, and expected outcomes. Proposals that are youth-led, innovative, and demonstrate strong community involvement will be given preference.
- Examples:
Launching community-based campaigns before COP30 to raise awareness and advocate for stronger climate action at national and international levels; engaging in national climate policy processes by calling for fair, ambitious and inclusive NDCs (Nationally Determined Contributions) and NAPs (National Adaptation Plans) that reflect the needs of vulnerable communities; organizing workshops, public forums or youth-led events to educate communities about the impacts of climate change and the importance of climate justice; developing training sessions, learning materials or workshops to equip communities, especially young people, with the tools to understand and address climate challenges; projects that improve community resilience, such as sustainable agriculture, rainwater harvesting, and clean cooking solutions; creating safe spaces for intergenerational conversations to exchange knowledge, build mutual understanding, and foster collective action for climate justice.
- Maximum amount requested to LWF: EUR 2,000 per project.
