Regional Workshop on Hermeneutics and Lutheran Identity in African Contexts
This workshop brings together twenty-five young African Lutheran theologians on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the first All-Africa Lutheran Conference held in 1955.
Participants are looking to identify ways to:
- increase the quality and contribution of the theological work of African Lutheran theologians
- stimulate thinking in creative ways of contributing to the global identity of the Lutheran communion from the African context
- contribute to the global Lutheran and Christian hermeneutics
- establish a specific action plan for the next four years leading up to the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017
