Indonesia is a country with a fascinating religious and cultural diversity. While religious conflict in Indonesian society captures a lot of media attention, few means to address discrimination exist. This initiative highlights positive inter-religious events and promotes religious diversity and equality for all.
Over the coming year, young men and women aged 18 to 30 will come together to from religious communities and three regions to counter discrimination and to strengthen the equal rights of all.
The Lutheran World Federation, which has a long-standing record of advocating freedom of religion and belief, will work alongside a consortium of three leading Indonesian universities in Yogyakarta.
This planning workshop allows staff and facilitators to design the training program and established a shared understanding of "rights and inter-religious literacy", as well as strengthen digital literacy and communications skills.
