A sustainable approach to development in Latin America and the Caribbean   

Through workshops, the diverse experiences and knowledge that exists in LWF member churches, diakonia organizations and their networks will focus on promoting human and institutional capacity development. Frameworks and training materials have already been developed through regional seminars. In LAC, the 2012 seminar on human and institutional capacity development resulted in the document Human and Institutional Capacity Development: an approach in perspective of sustainability. The document was used in member churches and was further developed through local workshops held from 2013 to 2016, with the participation of eight member churches. This review invites churches to analyse and update the document, which is to be used as a framework to continue promoting capacity development and therefore contribute to the sustainability of the churches.
