“Transforming Hearts, Inspiring Change: One Body, One Spirit, One Hope”

The workshop brings together around 60 leaders of diaconal work in LWF member churches in Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, and the Lutheran Church in Cambodia. They will discuss the concept and practice of being a diaconal church in the South-East Asian context.

Facilitated by program staff from the LWF and host LWF National Committee in Indonesia, the workshop will also offer spaces for sharing experiences and learning. Its objectives include: how to foster and sustain the long-term impact of the work carried out by churches at the local level, education and development of skills capacity, addressing challenges that different churches face, and identifying future needs and priorities.

Participants will agree on concrete follow-up plans for their respective churches and sub-region as a whole.
