The LWF member churches in the Africa region, meet to discuss concrete actions for their mission, reflect on Scripture and discuss issues they are facing currently in their contexts.

Delegates from across the Africa region will seek to strengthen their mission strategies for growth and revival of local communities.

Participants will worship together, share theological reflection and discussion of ways in which their churches and congregations have responded to the crisis and are resuming their ministry after more than two years of lockdown.

Agenda:

  • Strengthening the relationships and connection of member churches and their ministries in the region
  • Identifying and affirming key themes to be followed regionally and globally, linked to the LWF 2019-2024 strategic priorities.
  • Establish plans for the LWF Africa Pre-Assembly in May 2023

Ahead of the 2023 Krakow Assembly, delegates will explore the challenges and opportunities related to key issues including Lutheran identity, youth, gender, theological education and formation.
