Climate change is priority advocacy issue for LWF. Climate Justice is also a crosscutting issue, which means that we want to address this topic at all levels and in different ways in our work.

We stand in solidarity with those already suffering from the effects of climate change and we raise this as a crucial issue of intergenerational justice.

An LWF delegation takes part in the UN's COP (Conference of the Parties) summit each year. Since the COP17 in Durban, South Africa, the delegation has been made up of mainly young women and men representing our seven regions and many different member churches.
