Rev. Yamilka Hernandez Guzman of the United Evangelical Church of Cuba - Lutheran Synod (UIS-LS) analyses what she considers "a really dramatic situation experienced by these two disciples", who are returning home after the death of the one for whom they had left their security of their home to follow him. It was proving to be the worst walk of their lives, due to the accumulation of negative feelings within them. The cruelty of the events in Jerusalem had left them without explanation and without security.

However, all these feelings were transformed into dancing and joy when they met the risen Lord. This is a well-known story; however, Rev. Hernandez Guzman invites us to look at it with eyes and to approach "what the text does not say".
