The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign that takes place each year between 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) and 10 December (Human Rights Day).

The LWF supports the 16 Days campaign, urging all member churches and country programs to join in this vital advocacy work for a more just and equal world.

Celebrated in different ways in different countries, the campaign aims to raise awareness and promote actions to transform the power structures and discriminatory norms that enable all forms of sexual and gender-based violence and discrimination.
