Action for Justice and Hope – The LWF Advocacy Framework is a tool to guide the LWF’s response to the challenges affecting the world today through advocacy, public voice, and policy and political engagements.

The framework is aligned with the LWF Strategy “Sharing Hope.” It expresses LWF’s commitment to justice and peace, and the vision of a just, peaceful, and reconciled world where all can enjoy their God-given dignity.

The framework explains the six thematic priorities for the LWF’s advocacy work:

1. Promotion and protection of human rights
2. Advancing commitment to gender justice
3. Addressing the climate emergency
4. Advocacy for justice and peace
5. Humanitarian advocacy
6. Churches’ prophetic voice

This advocacy of the LWF takes place at the local, national, regional, and global levels where the presence, experience and work of the member churches, World Service country programs, partners and communities they serve are rooted.

It was prepared by the Action for Justice unit with support from an advisory group comprised of experts from LWF member churches across the world.
