This study examines how climate change leads to internal displacement in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia, forcing communities to move due to recurring extreme weather events such as droughts and floods. It notes that while causes differ by country, the impacts are similar: families lose homes and livelihoods, and face challenges in accessing basic services.  

The report documents successful practices including community solidarity, traditional governance, and support from faith-based organizations and civil-society. In its recommendations, it calls for rights-based governance, stronger early warning mechanisms, and inclusive solutions that recognize displaced individuals as active contributors to a climate-resilient future.
