Meeting of LWF Committee for Member Church Projects
Meeting of LWF Committee for Member Church Projects
Approval of long-term grants for member church projects
The LWF Committee for Member Church Projects meets annually to receive reports on projects implemented during the previous year and approve long-term projects to begin the following year.
The Committee comprises LWF Council representatives, with members drawn from each of the seven LWF regions, as well as related agencies that fund the projects.
The 2026 gathering takes place in the city of São Leopoldo, Brazil, where participants will witness firsthand the transformative work of the Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil. Beyond the reports and approvals, the heart of this meeting will be a bold conversation about what LWF member church projects should look like in the decades ahead.
Through a “future-finding” workshop, the Committee will explore how such initiatives can deepen connections, amplify hope, and strengthen the LWF communion for generations to come. Discussions will not simply focus on funding projects, but rather on building a legacy of faith in action.
