4th UN International Conference on Financing for Development

In Seville, LWF will be partnering with other churches, ecumenical organizations and civil society groups to promote a New International Financial and Economic Architecture (NIFEA) – one that can achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and close the widening gap between rich and poor.

As government leaders meet to discuss global economic challenges and reform of financial institutions, faith-based organizations are calling for action to end the debt burden on poor countries, for tax justice to fund poverty alleviation, and for a more inclusive governance of the global economy.

Representing over 600 million Christians worldwide, LWF and its ecumenical partners will be engaging with governments, international financial institutions, civil society and the private sector to work towards the achievement of the SDGs and a transformation of the global economic order.
