Embodying Hope: Renewing mission in a wounded world
Global Mission Consultation
The LWF, with the support of key mission partners, will organize a global mission consultation in response to the call of the LWF Assembly in 2023 to develop and implement a process to reexamine the meaning of holistic mission in the 21st century.
This global mission consultation is part of an initiative to support LWF member churches and partners that are either actively involved in mission or are reevaluating the role of mission from a Lutheran perspective.
The approach used in this process strives to strengthen the theological foundation and frameworks for these churches, but is also informed by ecumenical contributions and awareness of interfaith considerations. It will include opportunities for theological inquiry, strategic conversations, and mutual learning.
