Strengthening relationships with indigenous ministries and communities

The online consultation will bring together representatives from The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) member churches that are engaged in Indigenous peoples’ ministries and communities.

The objective is to provide a forum to:  

• Reflect on the past, present and potential contributions of Indigenous communities and cultures to church life and to the wider society;
• Discuss concerns and challenges confronting Indigenous peoples in different parts of the world today;
• Formulate proposals on ways in which the LWF could enhance its relationship with Indigenous peoples and strengthen advocacy for their rights.
